Mola-Inspired Texas Coaster Sets

Houston, TX

$20.00

Set down. Show off.

Miriam Lim O’Brien trained as an architect but realized she loved drawing more than designing buildings, and she now pours that skill into art inspired by the molas of her Panamanian heritage. She began by cutting and layering colored cardstock to recreate the look of the Guna people’s textile art as gifts for close friends, and their encouragement turned it into a business. Today she draws every design herself and prints it in her home office, pairing the classic mola labyrinth with animals, landmarks, and everyday objects from the places she has lived.

Each set includes two 3.75" x 3.75" coasters, printed with mola-inspired Texas designs and heat-pressed onto MDF with a high-gloss finish and a cork backing. The bold colors and layered patterns bring a little Texas art to a desk or coffee table. Coasters are made to order, with 16 Texas designs to choose from. Every drink gets its own piece of art.
