Mola-Inspired Texas Art Prints

Houston, TX

$24.00

Vivid layers. Texas icons.

Miriam Lim O’Brien trained as an architect but realized she loved drawing more than designing buildings, and she now pours that skill into art inspired by the molas of her Panamanian heritage. She began by cutting and layering colored cardstock to recreate the look of the Guna people’s textile art as gifts for close friends, and their encouragement turned it into a business. Today she draws every design herself and prints it in her home office, pairing the classic mola labyrinth with animals, landmarks, and everyday objects from the places she has lived.

These art prints turn Texas icons into bold, mola-inspired patterns full of bright, stacked color. Designs include the Texas Flag, Texas Armadillo, Texas Longhorn, Bluebonnet, and The Alamo, with select designs available in 8" x 8" and others in 8" x 10". Each print is signed on the back, printed on professional photo paper with a luster finish, and comes unmatted and unframed with a 3/16" white border for framing. Packed with backing in a cellophane bag, they’re ready to frame, gift, or give a little Texas-sized attitude to any wall.
