Leather and Painted creates functional leather goods with an emphasis on affordability, thoughtful design, and longevity. Handmade in a small Queens studio, the collection includes coasters, valets, device stands, and other everyday accessories designed to be useful, beautifully understated, and made to last.

This substantial leather valet is made from a single piece of heavyweight 8–10 oz vegetable-tanned leather, wet formed into a sturdy catchall with a wonderfully firm structure. At approximately 6.5" on each edge, it gives keys, earbuds, jewelry, and other everyday essentials a designated landing spot without taking over your desk or dresser. Each piece is made by hand, so natural variations are part of its character. Built for a very long life, this is the kind of everyday object that gets better at its job the longer you own it.
