Jayme Jayne started Born Free Organic in her home kitchen in 2001, making gentle alternatives to conventional cleansers and moisturizers for her husband, Justin, whose sensitive skin needed a gentler routine. When the switch made a real difference for him, he encouraged her to share the products with others. Today it is a family business, with Jayme making the soap and developing new products, Justin leading lotion production, and their kids helping prep, box, and label, all built on certified organic oils, raw butters, and botanicals.

Each lotion starts with a botanical infusion of elderberry fruit extract, blended with certified organic virgin coconut oil, safflower oil, hemp seed oil, and golden jojoba oil and raw shea or cocoa butter for a non-greasy moisturizer. It comes in an 8 oz pump bottle or a 2 oz travel size. Scents include Huckleberry, made with real huckleberry extract that smells like Montana, plus Lemon Cream, Chocolate Mint with a touch of peppermint essential oil, and Stress Relief with eucalyptus, spearmint, and peppermint. Made with no synthetic fragrances, parabens, or phthalates, it is a lotion that earns its spot by the sink.
