Playful Printing by Mac is the 3D printing work of Mackinzie Stoutenburg, an industrial engineer by day and creative maker on nights and weekends. Her work brings together playful design, practical desk objects, and the endless possibilities of 3D printing, with a strong focus on fun, functional pieces made from more thoughtful materials.
These 3D printed plant fidgets look like cheerful little potted plants, but they are made for hands that like something to move, spin, tap, or fiddle with during the day. Made from corn-based PLA, they are fully compostable, giving them a lighter environmental footprint without losing any of the fun. Available in assorted plant styles, including designs inspired by succulents, leafy houseplants, and cactus forms, each one brings a small pop of green to a desk without needing sunlight, water, or responsibility. The side of the pot can also be customized, turning it into a tiny branded desk toy people will actually want to keep around.
