Manready Mercantile began with Travis Weaver hand-pouring candles on the stovetop of his apartment, and it grew into leather accessories, apothecary, and pantry goods made in-house. Raised in the small town of Zephyr, he played six-man football, worked cattle, welded, and hauled hay, and he learned to tool leather while living with a family in Mexico. The business is built on honesty and hard work, taking everyday goods and reworking them until they are, in his word, Manready.

The Americana Series pours clean-burning soy wax around a cotton wick in a 14 oz paint can, hand poured for a 50-hour burn time. Each scent is inspired by a classic pastime: Gone Fishing brings notes of dark musk, vetiver, and fig, while Hunting Lodge layers tobacco, whiskey, and embers. The lineup also includes American Dream, Texas Campfire, and Open Range. Soy wax and cotton burn clean without the soot of petroleum wax. It is a candle that looks as good on a workbench as it does on a mantel.
