The Request

In 2023, Amazon opened it's new New York City offices in a beautifully restored, historic building, an architectural masterpiece that housed Lord & Taylor, a company known for it's retail innovation and progressive ideals. LoculGoods was asked to curate locally made gifts for an upcoming meeting with their client, Franklin Templeton, finding the perfect Inspiration coming from the building itself. Focusing on textiles, bespoke craftsmanship and New York landmarks, LoculGoods found makers residing in the area who's own work adheres to the same top quality and high standards that were the hallmarks of the famous department store and the principals of it's current resident.

The Results

Working with the client to discuss the objectives, timing and budget, LoculGoods turned to New York makers known for their excellent craftsmanship and deep love of landmarks, history and the importance of place. A beautifully designed zippered pouch was the perfect way to present a New York City tea towel and custom-labeled candle along with AWS-branded merchandise given to visitors of the EBC.

The Packaging

Designed and made by MapTote based in Brooklyn, NY, these 100% cotton pouches feature 10oz canvas, top quality brass zippers and charmingiy drawn details of some of New York's most beloved landmarks. Utilizing the pouch to present the gifts ensured that no waste was generated with unnecessary packaging and allowed the entire budget to be spent on the gifts.

Customized Notecards

Amazon's Executive Briefing Center is a bespoke way to customize discussions with executives, something AWS and Franklin Templeton have utilized to deepen their long-term relationship, capture key takeaways and collaborate on business strategies.
