The Process

Workday invited Locable to be featured as a special section at their 2023 Workday Rising global annual conference. Knowing full well that the attendees would have little to no time to shop for a special, meaningful, locally made item to bring back to their loved ones, co-workers and friends back home, Workday provided the value-added benefit of bringing the opportunity to them via their Workday Rising store. Filled with over 24 different items made by Northern CA goods with price points ranging from $2 to $30, there was something for everyone.

Artist Regina Schachter was asked to customize her San Francisco landmarks tea towel for Workday, adding their logo or name in subtle ways that gave a nod to Workday without losing the charm of her design. Regina nailed it with this tea towel, one of the most popular items at the Workday Rising store!

Over the years on many trips to Yosemite, mother and daughter Betsy and Katey Horn noticed how hard it is to find high quality souvenirs with much more than clipart for a design. Inspired by vintage designs and bold color, Poppy & Quail features original artwork by the daughter half, graphic designer Katey Horn, and these postcards were a perfect souvenir for attendees to send to a loved one or take home for framing.

The Greater Hood is a (very) small design studio made up of two Bay Area natives, artists, and friends, Katya Hoogerhuis and Shawn Cordiero.  The two graphic designers collaborated with Vantigo to bring you this stunning 5” x 7” print.  Frame it or share it - it comes with an envelope to mail to someone special - it was a fun keepsake for attendees to take home a little bit of San Francisco.

These beautiful products were offered in the Workday colors and were a balm to anyone finding the need for dry lips crying for moisturizer.

This colorful, handmade deck of playing cards contains fifteen distinctly different hand drawn and water-colored paintings of San Francisco. Each was photographed and painted by the artist, Jessica Kiever, in the first 12 months she lived in the city. Shuffling and dealing could not be more satisfying than with this handmade deck - colorful, charming and an excellent item to carry at all times for those long layovers.

My Crafted Studio artist Kat Ammann went above and beyond with her beautiful hand-crafted ornaments, adding a custom sticker to her newly designed, charming packaging for the Workday 2023 Workday Rising conference. These laser-engraved solid maple wood ornaments are sourced from a sustainable, zero waste facility here in CA and polished with a natural beeswax. With the holidays around the corner, these beauties were snapped up!

drool. dog cookies is the brainchild of TV anchor turned dog treat aficionado Shana Franklin.  Working out of her industrial kitchen in Napa, Shana puts as much love and care into each delicious, highly nutritious dog cookie as she does her own pooches.  All cookies contain no grain, corn, soy, meat or dairy, are made with the finest ingredients and all natural! Customized to have Workday's blue and orange accents, these were one of the first items to sell out!

Aidan & Trish, the makers behind Miso Handmade have been running the day to day Miso Handmade operation in Vallejo, CA since 2012.  They personally design and make most of the items on their sewing machines and embroidery machines.  Cats go crazy for catnip and cat lovers go crazy for these toys. The only problem with these was deciding what adorable design to get - go with the sardines or the catnip nachos? I say go with both!
