JL Woodworking was founded by Justin and Lauren, with Justin’s craft starting in middle school woodshop and continuing through high school before he went on to study engineering in college. What began as early furniture builds and side projects evolved into a focused practice, where that mix of hands-on skill and technical thinking shows up in pieces that are carefully shaped, balanced, and built to last.
Hand-turned from white oak, these whiskey tumblers offer a warmer, more tactile experience to glass. Each piece is sealed with a natural beeswax polish, which penetrates the wood to help prevent leaks while also acting as a natural disinfectant. Each tumbler is leak-proof and designed for long-term use, with occasional reapplication of the included 1 oz of beeswax to maintain performance over time. Handcrafted with an appreciation for traditional woodworking, each piece is thoughtfully made to celebrate natural materials and the simple pleasure of slowing down. Built with care and designed to last, these tumblers bring artisan craftsmanship to every pour. Because they are hand-turned on a lathe, slight variations in shape and grain will occur.
